Ok maybe I jumped three gun here but just sent arequest to the Miller/Coors folks about possibly hosting an annual Run there in Golden Colorado. I know we're still a year away from production but as slow as corporations run, it'll be a year or two before they would be willing to do something anyways!
Think about it, awesome, beautiful country. Plenty of places to go. (Not to mention the beer)!!
Coss, you had a super idea there!
Ok now let's hear the deteactors????

Nah, it's fine; maybe the people at Coors would be a sponsor.

The idea is have an Annual Elio get together at Golden Colorado.
Call it the Annual Elio Golden Rally; or the Annual Elio Golden Mountain Summit sponsored by Coors.

Hold it at the beginning of August so it doesn't interfere with Sturgis, it's in the middle of the country and a beautiful area.
I know they have spots in Golden that would have the space to hold it.

If Coors won't sponsor it, hold it at Red Rocks or a similar area.

Right now, this is just at the idea stage so feedback and your own ideas are welcome.
The general rule is a central location that will have the space to fit 20,000 or 30,000 Elios (probably more like 200 to 500 the first couple of years). Have area that you can camp or trailer queen your Elio behind the motorhome; or hotel accommodations plus feeding and shopping locations.
I was involved with the Vans in the 70's when they did their first national event, and although they are smaller now, that event is still held every year.

Host they probably wouldn't, but sponsor would be good as well.
It's a beautiful area that would appeal to lots of people. The idea is sound, gonna have to look into it more. ..

We can always look into doing it in different places. It's just easier to get sponsors on board to do it every time if they know where and when every year. .

Considering the degree of devotion shown on this board, you might be underestimating those first couple of years. I might have to save up a hundred to get there and back.

I think your right about attendance. It'll probably be a couple hundred the first year. When the word gets out though it'll be alot more..it'd be pretty awesome seeing 20k Elios in one place!
