I know that one member of each team gets a 'news' pass that allows them on the floor during the matches.
I don't know about others.
I'll take a look around today and see what I can find out.

Huh. Me too, but I thought it was just the restrictions on my browser. It sounds like to get a press pass, you need to be credentialed - whatever that means...

I'm not sure where those photos came from. One of our teammates found them on flickr. I believe that the last competition had an official photographer and he took a bunch of shots then tagged our team number.

Now I'm learning that at championships they are pretty sticky about who they let close to or on the field. Everyone has lanyards with passes on them and the passes allow different levels of access. You can only be on the floor if you are on the drive team (primary driver, secondary driver, human player, and coach). I'm not even sure if they offer press passes to the teams.

For at least the last few years they have issued each team one media pass. I wore the thing last year before our usual photographer arrived. It was great because I had access to just about everything.

Once in eliminations each team gets 2 pit crew passes as well.

I'm the on-the-field coach this year, so I'll have great seats! The problem is, with so much going on, it's hard to keep track of things. I often have to ask at the end how many we made / missed. It's hard to remember in the heat of the competition.

Here's our Quarterfinal 4-2 match. We're the red robot starting in the upper right. Our job on this alliance was to put as many balls into the high goal as possible. We ended up defeating a couple defenses too.

They tried defending during the previous match. Didn't work out.
