Comment: It was interesting to learn about the two "first" engines. Also, Paul has GOT to be coached on professionalism in front of the camera. That coffee cup was a disgrace, and, being white in color, (where it wasn't stained) drew attention away from Paul to the cup.

Finally, we heard once again about the mysterious "additional paths" to funding. I thought the "I don't have time to explain them" line was, to put it mildly, disingenuous (that means deliberately misleading, but not outright lying). It comes across as being coy on a matter of fundamental importance. If he can't say what they are, he should just say WHY he can't say and be done with it.

Wow, they actually answered Ekh's question!

I received a letter from Livestream, who is hosting the "fireside chat" in a couple of days. They solicited questions for Paul. The form that was supposed to be attached didn't load, so I sent them a note.

Here are my questions for Paul. What would you ask him if you could?
I’t love to ask Paul Elio several questions. Unfortunately the “attached form” was not visible. May I ask my questions here?

1. What’s the current state of the P5 prototype, and will you be using a new IAV engine for it, or the one that was tested last February? We have never heard results of that testing program, and wonder if the engine had actually been run to destruction or was “spared” for use in the P5?

If something like the TriHawk can get tested by R&T, I'm sure given a chance they would love to test the Elio.

The thing here is, the Elio is a trike. It will lean a little more in a turn under performance scenarios than a similar outfitted 4 wheeler. The P3 and P4 suspensions were not up to that, and weren't the production units either. Even so a high-profile test with performance handling is likely not a good PR move, unless the Elio can match the TriHawk results. BTW, the TriHawk was a FWD-Reverse Trike. It got cudo's for out handling (drivability, not speed) most of the High End sports cars from the same ?1985? article.

Lilly, those motherly instincts kicked in. All I hear from my mother is to go on a diet.

Paul does look pretty thin. And being on camera is suppose to add 10 lbs. Yikes!
I thought he looked tired, out-of-shape, and a little wired -- all that coffee. We SHOULD be concerned about the guy's health because our cars and our investments (if any) go down the drain if he can't function for at least 5 more years.
