With that said, the Model 2 is far more likely than the BEX or Elio.
And yes, I agree with you. I think Elon Musk bringing this "Model 2" vehicle to market is far more likely than BEX or Elio.

My girlfriend is wanting to drive less and less and just wants/needs an "in town" car, so range isn't an issue. This Model 2 could easily replace her 20 year old car (if it does sell for $16K). The only possible problem is charging the car. If I can use the electric dryer outlet (in the garage) part time to charge it, this could work.

I have seen specialty electric cord extensions that split the 220V dryer outlet into two plug-ins, one for an EV and one for the dryer. You just can't charge the car on laundry day, which really wouldn't be a problem.

When we took delivery of our 2020 Model Y………we charged the car using a 110 outlet in our garage charging overnight at a rate of about 7 miles of range per hour……..perfect for our daily commutes. Aways plugged in when not in use with charge set to 80% and topped it off at a local Tesla charger when planning long road trips. Although I had range anxiety prior to buying it…….range was never an issue. Currently have a 220 outlet………charging about 22 miles of range per hour. My favorite car in 62 years of car ownership. The affordable Model 2 would be ideal and hoping EM decides to add it to the current model lineup.

This company has a really high priced three wheeler that needs no gas or ever to be plugged in. It starts at $28K which seems to be really high priced as compared to the Elio and the Model 2. At least it's in production as it was production ready back in January.

Hate to say it but... looks like another pipe dream.

As to the electric cars, I can't help but wonder what it would cost me to run one. About half the roof of our house is covered with solar panels and there are two huge (refrigerator size) battery packs in the garage storing up the excess energy. Images are of our home.

You have the ideal setup. Why wouldn’t you own an EV? :) I bought an EV in 2020……..can’t go back to I.C.E..
