I understand so few people smoke today and cigarettes are not in vogue, they have renamed it.

What I'm talking about in the picture is rectangular; I've never seen a rectangular cigarette lighter.
This looks more like a slide or rocker switch.

Right side, in the red area, to the right and just above the E-brake.
Looks like a slide or rocker switch.

There's nothing on that red insert panel besides a reflection of the dash to the left of it.

I think you're seeing a reflection of this, from the LA Show. I lightened it up some to try and make it out. Could be a USB port .. maybe a USB insert in the 'cigarette lighter' port. Also something else to the left of it.. maybe a second power port??
