Well my schedule has been flipped upside down and instead of Las Vegas I will be in Kentucky and miss SEMA this year.

For anyone who does get to visit SEMA bring your camera, or nice camera phone, because a little birdie has told me that the fully assembled engine will hopefully be on display before they take it back to the lab and put it on the dyno.

Ah, the ability to speak with and understand birds. Goofyone, you are talented beyond measure!

Seriously, that would be WAY cool if the fully assembled engine would be on display and someone took a video or picture of it.

my bet is before the show closes EM will have pictures on Face Book, pictures will be up on some internet news sites, and within a very short time pictures will be shown in industry magazines .... the show closes on Nov 7 and I believe it was announced that they would start dyno testing it on Nov 15

Missed that announcement -- glad to hear it! Along with the engine tech talks, which have been getting more and more specific, it looks like some momentum is really building. Go Elio!

So I noticed that Elio Motors has now officially added the SEMA Show to the list of events. I had suspected Elio Motors would be at SEMA as they already had a Las Vegas mall event scheduled the weekend before and that date was too close to this major auto industry event for it to be a coincidence.

For those of you who do not know what SEMA is: SEMA stands for the Specialty Equipment Market Association and The SEMA Show is the largest automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It is held annually during the first week of November at the Las Vegas Convention Center and is the second largest single event of the year in Las Vegas with over 100,000 people in attendance from all over the world.

FYI.. This auto show is not open to the public. Registration as media, manufacturer, buyer or exhibitor is required.

I believe that the prototype in question is the new motor, not a new vehicle

Bummer on the SEMA event. I was hoping to see one up close and personal before putting my reservation in. Any other events coming that will be close to Utah in the near future??

Just last night they posted a public event in Las Vegas on October 31.
