I don't think that would be more healthful to simply resolve his issues. Studies have found that people who get worked up tend to get worked up regardless of the cause they latch on to.Frankly, I appreciate Past Fanatics comments as it keeps me reminded of EM's track record, where they have been, where they are currently, and where I hope they end up. However, I genuinely worry about his blood pressure and it would be more healthful to simply resolve his issues. It is what it is at this point and everyone involved has a degree of disappointment.
There is an EM trend of three delay announcements that I don't think can be repeated a fourth time with this last anticipated 2016 production target. I don't think there would be a second extension offer.
I'm hoping for a Santa Clause miracle and that our Elio's are delivered by the end of 2016. What a way to start a 2017 new year, seems so damn far off!
Do NOT get front row seats at one of their gigs if you and your wife have nice clothes on. Been there, done that!View attachment 4980 ?? something we said??View attachment 4980
did ya get the toilet paper routine too?Do NOT get front row seats at one of their gigs if you and your wife have nice clothes on. Been there, done that!
No it was all the water and glitter from the top of the drums that goes up in the air when they're going back and forth with regular drums and the PVC tubes. The show was great, if not very messy.did ya get the toilet paper routine too?
Well, if IAV was the stakeholder that couldn't make the meeting... Perhaps something came up that prevented them from taking the Dyno to the meeting or perhaps the meeting was supposed to be at the IAV facility... Either way, if IAV couldn't bring the engine to the meeting, it wouldn't make sense to have the meeting. IAV may be so busy with VW and such that it's hard to schedule in little old Elio.So let me get this 'straight', after announcing the THIRD major delay in their production schedule (Jun/Jul 2014->1st Qtr 2015->3rd Qtr 2015->First ½ 2016), Elio Motors has their first MAJOR PROGRESS announcement since the P4; the Public Unveiling of the IAV Engine (hopefully scheduled and coordinated with IAV, important visitors, and the Press, BEFORE announcing the date), 6 Feb 2015. The same engine that took them 7 months (since accepting the cast parts in April 2014) to machine and assemble, and a Dyno testing date (pushed from 15 Nov 2014 to 28/29 Jan 2015); finally ready to reveal to the PUBLIC..... and TWO DAYS prior a 'stakeholder' says they can't attend.... so the entire event is CANCELLED, and can't be re-scheduled in over THREE WEEKS. For such a VITAL component of the Elio Autocycle, with the disclosure of their financial 'shortcomings', and increasing public concern over lack of demonstrated 'progress'; one would think that any important 'Stakeholder', worth his salt, would DEMAND they continue.... without him.... just to increase confidence in the company and encourage future major investors.
Just does not pass the “smell test”!
I have to say that I find it very surprising that nothing else has been officially said by Elio about a re-scheduling of this major event.
My son works as an engineer for a specialist company who carry out R&D engine work for a number of major Formula 1 teams (parts he's worked on were in many F1 cars last year, including the champions and will no doubt be this year, too). If they hit a snag, these customers demand that it gets solved asap, i.e. the next day if possible.
My son has been expected to work all day on a problem then drive 100 miles after work to deliver a modified part in person. Obviously, big money talks. Those with less money get to say less.
