Yes. I had an in depth discussion with my agent (Ron Morin) at Liberty Mutual several weeks ago here in Lewiston Maine. He did some research, and got back to me and clarified they will insure the Elio as a motorcycle, it will be a full 12 month policy (despite Maine having very snowy winters when motorcycles are not out), the second person in the Elio will be fully covered as if they were riding two up.Has anyone approached an insurance company to see if they will cover the Elio?

Thanks for that heads up! I wasn't aware of that. Perhaps the autocycle classification, if insurance companies choose to adopt that new class of motorcycle, will help resolve the 4 season coverage issue.I was warn to make sure we actually get 4 season coverage with our insurance coverage. A lot of motorcycle coverages are for three seasons only, specially up in the North. Be sure to check. I also was told to get it added to my auto insurance and not a separate policy.
That a good point. I better check my GEICO insurance in Georgia, because I ride all 4 season. Motorcycle is my mine transportation, and I ride it daily weather it rain or sunshine. We don't get much snow here where I am at.I was warn to make sure we actually get 4 season coverage with our insurance coverage.
