Probably felt strange with out that 5th-wheel behind you going down the road! ;) But man, that rig looks like it'd be a comfortable ride. Looking forward to the pics!

comfortable, it most certainly is .... ride comfort is the reason we bought it .... with it my preference for a cruising speed (with or without the camper attached) is 62 - 63 mph .... the majority of the miles we covered yesterday were over 2 lane Texas roads that have posted speed limits of up to 75 mph .... since we left a few hours later than we would have if we hadn't made the decision to go so late, I bumped up the speed, often topping 70 .... she runs strong but sure drinks some diesel at that speed

Glad you made it there and back safely, and glad to hear you had to wait in a looong line to see it (well...not that you had to stand there for an hour and a half, just that there was a good turnout. ;)). As I mentioned in another thread I FINALLY saw the Elio commercial on TV. I'm curious what affect the commercial has had to hits on their website.

The burning question... what did you think of the Elgin dash? LOL. Glad you got to sit in the Elio! I considered the drive but had to work this weekend :(
I wish I had been able to stay longer (maybe go thru the line again ;)) but it was great to get to see it close up and sit in it... The Elgin dash... It is what it is... I think EM should offer an optional dash to those of us (apparently a majority) who do not want the Elgin dash... I'd pay extra for it and will probably look into changing the stock instrument cluster for one of the modern programmable ones if they don't... Just sayin'

I agree .... I was asked to reserve judgement until I'd sat behind the wheel and seen it in person .... will been there, done that, like it even less than before .... to me the P5 is an eye catcher, an "attention getter" .... the dash is blah at best .... no eye catching appeal .... its the only part of the trike that simply looks like an out of place afterthought

Hey JEBar... Blah is a perfect description! It's got no "snap" unlike the rest of the car... Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you guys... I had to get back ( I only had a 300 mile ride back) but Hwy 59 is a bear on Sunday afternoon... As soon as they post the Texas State Fair event I'll see if I can make it to that one and be a little more prepared and spend more time meetin' n' Greeting...
