You can't sue someone for saying they are interested in something and then changing their mind... especially a "non-binding" pledge.Laws against stock manipulation. Financial terrorism? This is clearly an attempt to damage Elio Motors. I can't believe that at the least Elio can't sue the little creeps, IF they can be located.

It's not the changing their mind part that poses a problem. It's intentionally misleading EM, Startengine, and potential investors about the campaign, with the intention of subverting it. This certainly constitutes interference with trade, among other things. It's arguably a violation of EM's civil rights (yes, corporations do have certain civil rights). You can't intentionally jam a corporation's business processes (which this is) without consequences, civil if not criminal. You can't sue someone for saying they are interested in something and then changing their mind... especially a "non-binding" pledge.
Uh oh, I think I pledged $500 past my 10% limit, Id better lawyer up...or ask for a raise...disclaimer - I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV .... I can see the validity of the above .... on the other hand, there were terms (example the 10% of income provision) that the person had to agree to so as to participate in the program .... if it can be shown that individuals drastically violated that agreement, I can see fraud and/or justification for other violations
No point in spending millions on investigating financial fraud and then doing nothing about it. Which financiers from 2007 are or have ever been in jail?Yes, great idea! Pull them away from investigating real issues such as the people stealing millions on wall street on the daily from peoples retirement accounts all so Elio can file a civil suit since were in America!
Its involves us thus its the most important thing in the world and must be pursued, lets lobby Elio to do civil suits for StartEngines poor validation! How about YouTubes age validation where all the kiddos can easily say they are 18+? Hey, well were at it ElioOwners should sue me for wasting Kilobyte on their hard drive!
Good ol America, where an inhaler ($5 over the counter elsewhere) retails for $79, or for just one payment of $20*

I just noticed your location is EU. Does this mean European Union?
I think a threat to their egos. They not only predict Elio will fail, but now shout from the internet rooftops that Elio will fail because he is an idiot, liar, or whatever negative attribute they prefer. They are so entrenched now that they jump on every Elio article to post their confused versions of the Elio story in the comments section and get petty when facts are stated back to them.BUT a threat to what? I truly don't get what motivates them.
