My take on keeping the 6,800.00, for the first round of 1k all ins, they will respect that price, and the incentives. Now as 15k units are out there with the press/media climbing all over it, it will have. met one of their major public advertised achievements. Preceded with the closing of incentives, followed by the closing date of the $6,800 ,and announcing that with increased production costs........we are forced, beginning (date) to raise the price to......
I think the first batch of incentive owners will compensate E M in the interest, excitement and orders the E will generate.
This is predicated on having units to sell at any price. I still think Jay Leno should get an early unit.

The Offering Circular said SE was getting $20 a person, not $50.
Good catch, Chris.

"We will pay StartEngine Crowdfunding, Inc. $20 per investor in cash and warrants to purchase shares of our common stock at $12 per share equal to the cash compensation."

So SE gets cash, and an option to buy an equivalent amount of stock an $12 per share, at any time up to three years from the closing date. So if EM is successful and the stock price goes up, SE can make a killing by exercising stock options.

However....

EM also has to pay FundAmerica $2 per investor for a money-laundering check, and $15 per investor for processing fees, "1.0% of the gross proceeds from the sale", plus a few other incidentals. So FundAmerica gets between $400k and $950k, depending on the number of investors and the total amount of the stocks purchased.

So yeah, lots of fees associated with all of this.

EM stock certainly has better odds than Vegas and plenty of people roll the dice there ...

Of course do what you think makes sense and definitely don't risk more than you'll miss if it's lost. Same goes for Vegas.
Actually, the odds of Elio's being financially successful are significantly longer than any roulette bet, IMO. Not as long as some specific poker hands.

But it IS possible. However, as they say at the roulette wheel, "les jeux sont faits." -- the bets are made, and the SE campaign is done for good or ill.
