Perhaps 50% of the general population would troll the StartEngine site as you suggest, but I don't think the general population is even aware of the Elio. I think a better comparison would be to the kinds of people who support crowd funding campaigns in general, very few of which turn back on a pledge once made. I think "10% troll pledges" would be preposterously high.

The investment is done via the startengine site. It had a chat link at the bottom. You have to scroll all the way down, and wait for a second before the link appears, but it is quite visible.

Alternatively, you can try spamming some of the usual addresses: info@startengine.com, information@, postmaster@, webmaster@, help@, sales@, etc.
