MO is a red state. Repugs hate regulations.

Abbott/TX is still saying TX will continue to regulate against Tesla (or Elio) direct sales, because TX believes in the "free market" and small govt.

I think Gov. Jay Nixon would disagree with the first comment, but can't argue with us Repubs hating regulations.;)

Yep, that's politics for ya. Like arguing that death and taxes are actually a "fee for living" opportunity.

keep political commentary clean and directly related to EM

it's plausible that EM's inability to land a govt loan is tied to the xxxxx fabricated, false outrage about Fisker, Abound, and Solyndra loan losses, while the overall govt lending actually returns $Ms in profits to govt, aka taxpayers.

With it down to only two states for Helmet laws, does anyone know which states still require a motorcycle endorsement. I have one but the lady doesn't and we want to take this out for a nice long road trip to get away from the North Dakota winters.

Move to Colorado like I did 30 years ago! Milder winters, no humidity to speak of, 300 days of sun shine (big publicly lie) and a boat load of MN, ND, SD and Wisconsin transplants. I promise you won't miss hearing anyone saying, " Ya, ya sure den, you betcha!" ;)

Hi Paul,

I agree, would be nice to have a list or a map for motorcycle license needed for the Elio, but I've not seen one. You can check with your DMV for ND and see what they say. Ask if a 3-wheeler is a motorcycle or an autocycle in your state, if the former then you probably need an mc license.

Luckily most of the state's near me do not require a motorcycle endorsement. Was just worried about traveling through a state that did. ND is weird we are the only state so far that has approved the helmet and endorsement law changes, however, decided not to adopt the auto cycle term and instead call it an unconventional vehicle. Hopefully that doesn't mean more expensive in terms of insurance
