Those early Canadian and U.S.A. Solos were all one-off betas. They were individually registered for the roads. They weren't even Canadian or NHTSA production certified. They were basically registered as experimental and prototypes. The new ones coming from China are the real NHTSA deal. So, yes I've never looked at the Canadian requirements, but it sounds reasonable that they might require side bags.What do you mean, "on hold"? The Solo has been on sale in the U.S.A. and Canada since September 9, 2016, according to the internet.
