They have already built more cars than Elio, and production cars have been sold as well. It is a slow start but there is clearly progress. Ramp up is scheduled to begin in September, so we will see, but with 30 (?) or more already built I would say thats a great start.

looks like 20 workers, and a bunch of office help, including sales and VP's.
I wonder how many actual working hours it took to build the one (and I see another on the left, and who knows how many others they have "in process")
I counted 28 in the photo.

I would surmise that if you are in a leading-edge development, a free-thinker or geek would be expected. That would account for the red shoes.:D:D

I remember reading something about a Chinese manufacturer doing the bulk of the work in the near future.

Unfortunately, I don't recall where I read it or the details.

What it doesn't say is that this vehicle almost certainly came off an assembly line in China.
Look carefully at the wording. "...and has arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia."
It's one of the 2019 models that EMV published a picture of on 04-23-18.

The assembly line is in China, not in Vancouver.

You'd be hard pressed to find trees like these in Vancouver...

This is probably significant to EV's including the Solo. When Toshiba makes a dated commitment usually it's a done deal, but we'll see.
I don't see why they wouldn't sell their product everywhere at some point. A fast charge, even at 50% capacity, makes all the difference in the competition between fuels and electricity. If I can recharge to 50% in 5min, that enables a 150mile (75mile) range for all my uses, since I can top-off at night at home. This would be more convenient than gas for my daily use.
