I was asked to stop posting progress reports on similar vehicles like the SOLO. I will honor that request.

I was not actively trying to sell any of these alternate three wheeler vehicles and/or EVs by noting progress of other three wheeler concept options under development. I would rather be posting tangible progress reports on the Elio, my favorite three wheeler concept after nearly a decade of following it's progress. I continue to have interest in the Elio's success. "Go Three Wheels", Paul Elio.

I like reading the progress reports on vehicles similar to the Elio. It shows that there are other companies that are creating similar vehicles and they are making an effort to put them into production.

Hey Seth, well done with your gas free driving! How much mpgE are you managing with your 2012 and 2013 Leaf?

It's not really an easy number to track on your own, but wikipedia says the Leaf gets 99 MPGe. The onboard computer tells me I get 3.9 miles-per-kWh on average.

I'm not a particularly "green" person; my main concern with any car has been cost of ownership. The Leaf is simply the cheapest to operate, cheapest to fuel car that I have ever owned, in addition to being quiet and smooth and doesn't stink of fumes. Gas cars are fine for the occational long trip, but for daily driving I'd like to stay all-electric if I can help it. The Elio will be an excellent range-extender in this regard.

Yes, other companies are making 3 wheeled vehicles, but I see a difference.
The other companies are not trying to do what ElioMotors is trying to do.

Thanks Seth. I'm really considering it But I'm in no rush as I used my ELIO reservation for the SOLO. I just looked at CARMAX and there's plenty of 2012-2015 SV models that can be bought for 8-11K. And I tend to agree, for that price, your're getting a full size 4wheeler with ample amenities and made by a known car maker. Then there's the "mystique" of owning a 3wheeler!

I wish them well.
I have been thinking about the SOLO vs the Model 3.
I wish the Solo had something to set it apart. Super fast, or Less expensive, or 2 seats, or better range, or etc.
At a little over twice as expensive as a SOLO, the Model 3 to my eyes will be very hard to beat.
