Per request: First picture is of a 1 1/2" wide Barr chisel. The handle is from Osage Orange and has a metal hoop on the end.
The second picture is of some C.E. Jennings. The gouge has walnut and the regular has Osage orange. Both have leather washers on the striking end.

Latest build: A mechanical horse kit. Bought it from Lee Valley ($50). Took three days to build.

ABONG is the manufacturer.
That's cool. It's a great example of the power of today's CAD programs, automated machining and prototyping. I bet that 3D printed a few versions of it before firing up the laser cutters and CNC machines.

Here is a case with dividers I made from some old sub-floor plywood and sassafras. Its holding my gage selection. The gages are used for marking wood along their edges. They date from the mid 1800's to mid 1900's.

This project was a box to contain many of my custom saws for transport and access once I reached where I was going. I have small hands for a man and can wear a womans medium glove. Most saws, old or new, are just sized too large for me to handle properly. So my custom saws were made with smaller handles. I was meeting with a young woman who wanted to try my saws and maybe determine what sizes may be good for her. The box has hold down ribs inside the lid and also padding. I had fun cutting the corner miters.
