15 FUVs a flocking at the first FUV Owner’s Rally at the Arcimoto Manufacturing Plant in Eugene, OR. Cool that Arcimoto‘s CEO lead the ride and is actively involved with the 100+ retail FUV owners and 1000’s of future reservationists in person and on Facebook. It will be interesting to see the numbers grow as they scale production. The start slow with plans to scale production business model seems to be working for the new debt free vehicle startup. I had hoped Paul Elio would have been leading the flock of Elio’s at the first Elio Rally by now. My FUV is still in the production Queue waiting for doors. I would have trailered my FUV to Eugene, but would have driven my fully enclosed, climate controlled cabin Elio to the First Annual Elio Rally location.

Hey Rickb good to hear from you again. What's the hold up with your FUV doors?? Hopefully you get it soon. SOLO stock have seen activities lately due to it's upcoming release/deliveries late Nov- early Dec of this year. I have not heard of any early reservation holders getting notifications to complete order and EMV's got barely 2 months so I'm not really sure if it'll really happen or not. I'm not wasting my time taking a test drive until a bunch of SOLOs are in the hands of reservationists by end of this year.

I think the doors were a little more difficult to engineer/fit the FUVs tubular frame than anticipated. It sounds and looks as though hard half doors are about to roll out of the thermoform shop with Full Half doors to follow. You and I have been waiting on our reservation deliveries for a long Long time. I could have taken delivery Dec 2019, but doors are a personal requirement not an option. The retail production SOLO appears to be close to delivering as well. :)

Rickb walking around the shop what is the general "feeling" like there?
You can get a feel (at least I do) when you walk around a shop from the people there of how a project is going.
So does it feel like it's progressing like it's planed to? Just curious.

Coss, I agree wholeheartedly. The time I spent walking around AMP/Shop and meeting many long time employees left me with the feeling that the project is going well. I was amazed by the manufacturing facility and the specialized equipment that allows them to fabricate many of their own parts. Keep in mind they are currently delivering retail production vehicles, but the doors apparently became more of a challenge to design and fit the tubular frame than anticipated. Most Reservationists took delivery of their vehicles without doors that will be shipped to those owners when available. The above door photos (#1343) are my screen grabs from the last Quarterly update video, that included statements, “doors are in the thermoform shop“. I anticipate they will be ready to pop on soon. They have some 73+ employees and the production people i saw and spoke with in the shop were optimistic and hard at work, with smiles on their faces. I was impressed.

Because people hate Tesla's. Poor Elon Musk is going broke.
Regarding EV’s: The FUV was the most fun I’ve had driving any vehicle and the 102 MPGe (City) is adequate for daily city commutes. The Tesla Model Y is overall the most enjoyable car I’ve driven and have not experienced range anxiety as the car’s navigation schedules the trip and drives you to Tesla Superchargers along the way. Generally one 30 minute (or less) charge/lunch stop in my typical personal max 450-500 mile per day road trip.

I could be stranded in an ICE vehicle, the reason why I have AAA.

I wonder if AAA will start to equip vehicles with a booster battery for EV's. Enough power for a 15 minute drive to a charger should be sufficient

Did anyone else see the ads for the "Little Blue Gas"? They are saying it is worked out, and you should start seeing recharging stations in different places,
The "Little Blue Gas" is Hydrogen and they finally have it worked out that a refill (recharge) will take 3 to 5 minutes instead of 3 to 5 hours They are touting it as the answer to gas or Electric. I'll go see if I can find the ad again.

That’s an interesting idea. There is a Tesla Roadside assist app on the tablet. It calls out a Tesla Mobile Service Truck to trailer the car to a Service Center for repairs or Super Charger for a charge if needed. Hoping I’m not forced to use it. :)
