Akagi, welcome to the forum and this eccentric group of Elio fans. We are a friendly helpful group (mostly) and use the forum to share information about the development and production of the Elio as well as to pass the time until production begins. Looking forward to your comments and participation. Again, WELCOME.

On a car with old fashioned coil ignition, removing the rotor arm in the distributor and putting it in your pocket prevents the car being started. This would work on the Suzuki G10 engine fitted to the prototypes, probably not on the proposed new engine......that's progress!

After deep contemplation...for a couple of minutes, I propose the following anti theft device, which I christen "Commandment Number Eight". (trademark applied for). Having shatterproof glass installed will make this more effective.

A device is installed that, after the alleged perpetrator has driven your vehicle for one block, will roll up any open windows, lock all doors, stop fuel supply to engine and send GPS location to a small remote you have in your possession. This remote will have some dandy features, which can be operated manually or automatically. Law enforcement can be notified with a time delay option set by you. Seeing that the alleged perp will most likely get about 2 weeks probation from our courts, you will have the ability to extract justice yourself. With the engine off, the climate control system is also inoperable. If it's a nice sun shiny day of about 95 deg. set the police notifier time delay for 4-5 hours. If you are feeling a bit more vengeful, there is another model. It sets the brakes, but leaves the engine running, only shutoff by the remote. Attached to your exhaust system is a valve actuated duct leading to the compartment. Push the proper button and the criminal takes a nap.

Bit harsh?

I forgot to mention a few things about the 2nd model. I will be packaged as "The Wages Of Sin". (trademark applied for). Also, this model will have the obligatory warning label "The State of California has determined that the exposure to Carbon Monoxide can cause birth defects and cancer." My rebuttal to that argument is that this product will actually correct a "birth defect", and will also insure the alleged scumbag never has the opportunity to develop cancer.
