I like the exhaust exit, too. That's got to save them a few dollars, as it will be a few feet shorter. The tip will probably be (don't get excited, JMO) isolated from the body by a flexible coupler, (possibly silicone) and (if so) would be cooler to the touch. If the exit was moved back about a foot tho, it would exit thru the side of the rear wheel cover and wouldn't leave exhaust residue on the paint. Overall, I like it!

The two hood latches are no longer sticking up through the hood.
Does this mean they are gone?
Perhaps they were simply left off the computer CAD rendering, though it shows other detail.

That blue is sexy and will sell like crazy. Demand will far exceed supply.
The integrated exhaust is a surprise and elegant but the fuel port above the exhaust outlet scars me to death. Human nature is what it is and this is a safety hazard. Careless refueling, tank overfilling at the fuel pump, fuel spilling out around corners - this could be a disaster waiting to happen. This could be the subject of Ralph Naders next book. EM has done such an excellent job on every other aspect of the Elio, what are they thinking here? The exhaust outlet is where it needs to be - away from the door, move the fuel door to the drivers side and we'll all be happy. Its worth another $10 to put the fuel port where it belongs.
I'm guessing the build will be as close to production as possible and I am interested in seeing the production Elgin dash.I wonder if the P5 will have an Elgin dash?
