All In, In Colorado

I ride a Harley Ultra (large touring bike) and had been looking for something a little more practical around town. Lived in Europe for awhile and always had a warm feeling about the SMART car, but the value proposition wasn't quite there. Tried to talk my wife into getting her m/c license so that she could ride a Vespa or Suzuki Burgman, but that was a non-starter.

Then along comes Elio! 30% cheaper than either of the scooter options - and it looks cool, to boot (not to mention you stay dry when it rains <lol>)!

We'll be up in Broomfield at the Flatirons mall bright and early Friday morning to finally see one up close and personal - we hedged our bets a bit and only went all-in for $100 but can't envision a scenario where we don't increase to the max after Friday's trip.

And they come in Harley Orange, too - woohoo!

Welcome to the forum dleffert! Lots of good info here. I lived in the Southwest Denver and Arvada area until I was 25, transplanted to St. Louis for work. My brother's going to hit the Flatirons mall with his boys. Curious to see their impression of the Elio.

Retired to Castle Rock 5 years ago - ride the Harley about 30k miles a year, and really looking forward to my/our first cross-country tour in an Elio! Just came down from the AlCan Highway - hmmmm, wonder if I dare? <grin>

Hi and welcome from Oregon, Dan. I hope you enjoy your trip to "the mall" as much as I did in Portland and I really, really dislike malls. However, getting to see my Elio made it all worth while, including 7 hours round trip to be there. Drive carefully and enjoy discovering all the joys of seeing and being around the Elio. Z
