Hey Elio’ers! This week’s tour blog answers the question we are often asked while on tour and on our social media platforms… “How do we determine the tour stop locations?” This is quickly followed by “Great you’re going to [tour stop], but WHEN will you be in [insert city here]”, “I have a reservation, where can I view one?”, “Why didn’t you come to our event?!”
As much as we’d love to be everywhere our futureliowners are, we have to be strategic about the locations we pick to cover the most ground and spread the word to as many people as possible. For this reason, we organize our schedule based on the following criteria:
Balloon Fiesta, Albuquerque, NM
Attendance: 900,000
Category: Varies. Reaches target market.
Barrett-Jackson, Scottsdale, AZ
Attendance: 300,000
Category: Automotive
Tacoma Freedom Festival
Attendance: 125,000
Category: Patriotic
Woodward Dream Cruise, Royal Oak, MI
Attendance: 1,000,000
Category: Automotive

- Is it in or near one of Elio’s 60 main markets in the United States?
- Is an Elio Retail Center being considered for that location?
- Does the event typically draw 80,000+ people in projected attendance?
- Is the event true to our brand? (e.g., environmentally conscious, automotive focused, technologically driven)
- Are those in attendance our target market?
- Does it provide media opportunities to share the Elio story to the masses?
