100 Preproduction Elio's To Be Built In December!!

Who are fleet people getting first 100 elios?

In his ROTH presentation, on one of the slides, and I think he mentioned them by name, is a company called Adesa Auctions that sounded like they will take care of transportation and the Marshaling centers.

Elio Motors has the money to build the 25 E-series vehicles.

Where are they getting the money to build the 100 preproduction vehicles? They won't get paid for the vehicles until EM delivers them. I don't think there will be enough money left over from the 25 E-series. Is Stu Lichter or someone else loaning the money? If they have a definite buyer who has signed a contract, it is easier for EM to get a loan (from someone) to build these 100.

How do you know they won't get paid until they deliver them? I'm sure there will be AT LEAST a significant down payment.

I'm not ordering anything extra on mine. My first reservation will be basic/manual trans, my wife's reservations is for auto trans, so there's no tinkering on our Elios at the marshalling center. The only thing I would allow the marshalling center to handle my Elio is if a turbo upgrade is offered.

EM hasn't said there is funding available to build them. When they do, I bet they have a minimum of $1K down per Elio.

Elio Motors doesn't publish the names of fleet customers any more than it does individual customers. It's tough to know what business or government might have reserved some Elio's.

I know right where that Brasher's Portland is (actually it's in Troutdale which I guess you can call East Portland)
I've been there a couple of times; too bad it's in Oregon; if they do put a marshaling center there I would have to deal with getting the Title transferred to WA. (what a PITA) you have to get a free WA state inspection that costs you $35 (try and figure that one out )
But if you look at Adesa's location map, you'll see it matches Elio's proposed location map.
