I am sure you are right. But it's still ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.They might want actual feedback from the test vehicles before actual production.

I read an article once that said Leno don't smoke, drink, gamble and only spends a very small part of his income each year. So if that's true, unless he has changed his habits, buying an Elio should present no problem.Call him.
Though I'm not sure of his financial situation.
He was in Youngstown, Ohio this weekend doing stand-up comedy.
True.
That comes as a surprise to you? You must have been born under a cabbage leaf!
Well, one thing to note, the coming 4th quarter 2016 on there official website is now gone. So doubt any normal production Elio will be built this year. So far, it hasn't been replaced with another date.
I think the fact Roush got involved with Elio is a good sign. It seemed to me in reading Elio's financials that Elio don't pay any of there bills. And I'm sure Roush looked things over before committed to Elio. So IMHO, they must feel they will get paid and Elio is indeed going to make some profit.
Could be wrong, but can't help to feel that way.
I suspect whoever is paying for the 100 preproduction vehicles is also paying for all of Roush and there is no expense to EM.I think the fact Roush got involved with Elio is a good sign. As of yet, you can bet that there is NO-ONE paying for the 100 preproduction vehicles.I suspect whoever is paying for the 100 preproduction vehicles is also paying for all of Roush and there is no expense to EM.

I wasn't considering his buying,( which is funny)- the publicity would be pricelessI read an article once that said Leno don't smoke, drink, gamble and only spends a very small part of his income each year. They will "fine tune" the production line with the first Elio produced and forevermore with the 2nd. They'll start off making one and there will be a break before the 2nd. Each car will be an opportunity to fix any issues with the production line. Surely, you'd have to agree that 100 practice runs would be enough to get the process down.Sorry Ty...
I have to agree with Ekh on this.
Those 100 will be used (as EM said ages ago) to set up and fine tune the production lines.
EM also said (again, some time ago) that Comau techs would be the ones doing this.
Those techs would then correctly train the local help with the expertise gained.
