I would say just the opposite is true and unlike you I have actually had contact with thousands of reservations holders across multiple internet sites and in person across several states.

From what I have found, especially from meeting people in person, the vast majority of reservation holders are blissfully unaware of much other than what they receive from EM in their inbox's every week. They have no worries and feel no reason to worry or to even follow along closely.

It is even a fact that the majority of reservation holders have not even experienced a single delay in this project first hand as the majority of reservation were made after May 2014 when the second, and last delay, was announced.
I 100% agree with Goofyone, and I have no worries about if Elio is true to his words or not. I have hope this will be done in manufacture an Elio Autocycle. This Elio owner site keep me in good form of information, we are helping one another with good information by what we know about difference subject. This site is full of good information we can take our time read some of the subject. Let keep helping one another by support Elio vision.:)

In a recent article with Tavarish , Paul Elio states the following . I am paraphrasing ....

84 mpg is a target . If we hit 81 , is that failure ? No

$6800 is a goal . If we started production today , the Elio would cost customers $7300 .

These comments tell me a story . If everything is a stretch goal , how can we count on delivery in 2015 ?
I'm willing to wait as long as it takes , but IMHO , I am not expecting an new Elio this year .

Snipped: The fact that off the top of his head he knows virtually to the Penny what the car currently costs (I would think) would mean he has all his pieces lined up and Ready.

Let's not forget Paul cut his teeth in the auto parts business.
He's been down the supplier/end user road many times so
this process isn't new to him. It's really a matter of scale,
or rather economies of scale.lol:)

When someone ,even Paul Elio. can tell me 100% the SORP date 9 months out,,, Please tell me who wins and by how many points Duckd by 14????? Then i can place my bet and have the money ready to pay my Elio off, when ever it is ready.
Every thing is a projection right now, they will not announce a dely until it is certain that the planned date is unreachable. I believe that the company feels the stated date is still attainable. Bottom line , everyone here is just guessing . Now back to the gas cap(less) thread.

I thought Elio's, and hence Paul's statement is 'we're on schedule for 2015'. That's been said very recently and documented. What other statement do you want to see him make?
I'm sure if / when things change, they'll let us know.

The truth would be nice.

The truth is as he stated , it may be "at risk" to make it but not impossiable as they see it. That is all we are going to get until it is Known to be unatainable. again Ducks or Ohio state, tell me the truth so I can place my bets.

Ahem, I hate to be captain obvious, but Dyno testing an engine does NOT take 6 months. That was a pure lie for the naive.

The engine is broken and there's no money to fix it AND produce cars.

Dunno testing doesn't take that much time but as they said, the highly accurate measurements of the engine before powered testing takes a long time. They have to totally map out the engine so after being run, they can identify stretching or deformities. It is much more in depth than simply seeing how much torque and horsepower the engine produces which is how it seems you are defining dyno testing.
