Elio got started seriously some time in 2008 as far as I know. In a perfect world I would be driving one now. Given the challenge of what needs to happen to make a mass produced machine of the complexity of this machine it seems to be going quite well from my point of view. Growing up the smell of cow manure was referred to as "Fresh Country Air" were I lived...

You can have different opinions, its allowed. I find it hard to believe that you can't see what EM has done to keep the investors and reservation numbers growing. The production date has always been within a 12-18 month timeframe, a timeframe that is not too long to wait. If it were years out (like it really was at the beginning) then people would hesitate to plop down a $1,000 reservation and investors would not invest. There WILL be another delay and it WILL have a 12-18 month window. Like I tell some people, "Its easier for me to show you then to try and explain it to you". EM will demonstrate this shortly.

Call it negative, call it what you will but its my honest opinion of what has been going on. If this offends you then get over it and move on to another post. I AM a supporter but I'm also wise enough to know shit from shinola. How can EM have a target date when even they don't know how long the DOE will take to approve or deny the loan? The ONLY way EM can give an accurate date is to have ALL the funding they need in place. Until then its just speculation. If you can't see that then keep wearing your EM tin foil hats and beleiving everything EM feeds you.

Like I said, I'm a supporter and want an Elio just like everyone else, I just know BS when I smell it.

I'm not offended. Just making a counterpoint. That is all. Nothing more or less. You may find it hard to believe my view, and that's okay. I chose to live my life giving people the benefit of the doubt, unless proven otherwise. I haven't seen any proof that they are purposfully deceiving people.

Doesn't matter what we think. Bad publicity requires a response which the reporter didn't get from Elio, so public perception is important. Hopefully they will do a followup piece after Paul responds.

Agreed...Elio's lack of transparency is slowly tarnishing their public image...

The problem as I see it is that Elio Motors is telling the truth but people just are not understanding, or not wanting to understand, what they are saying. By saying they are 'on track for production in 2015' EM is telling us that they feel they can do this however they are also not promising this will be the case. We know there are plenty of questions which EM does not even have the answer to yet, ATVM loan?, however at this point this does not mean that these questions will not be answered in time to prevent production in 2015.

As it related to consumer products...public perception is always the truth...

Not really, I'm just pointing out the truth however hard it is for some to swallow. I've been an Elio cheerleader longer then most here and I want Elio to succeed. There are plenty here who are quick to defend Elio whenever something other than positive vibs are mentioned. Nothing I've said is false and more and more people are seeing the same thing. Paul (and EM) are deceptive in releasing the real possible production date to keep the reservations and investors flowing. If you honestly can't see that then, sorry.

I completely agree with you...and I think a large percentage of current reservation holders would also embrace your comments...

I would say just the opposite is true and unlike you I have actually had contact with thousands of reservations holders across multiple internet sites and in person across several states.

From what I have found, especially from meeting people in person, the vast majority of reservation holders are blissfully unaware of much other than what they receive from EM in their inbox's every week. They have no worries and feel no reason to worry or to even follow along closely.

It is even a fact that the majority of reservation holders have not even experienced a single delay in this project first hand as the majority of reservation were made after May 2014 when the second, and last delay, was announced.

Lets face it, we don't ever expect you to say anything remotely negative about Elio. From the looks of it your already on the payroll. As you said yourself, most have not experienced a delay because their reservations were made after May 2014. Lemmings also appear blissful as they jump from the cliff. They only rely on what Elio tells them and are not interested in doing their own research (which is fine). "Preception is Reality", have you ever heard that?

More delays on the way...but of course my perception of progress within their current R&D program could be very misplaced...

Nice posting...

Your point is well made...the current silence from the Elio Motors says it all...
