There isn't any measuring during reassembly... They simply set the fender in place and tighten the fasteners. Remember, they had to make it dummy proof.
Notice how much higher the covers sit? You can see more of the wheel now; will be a big help against "curbing" it.
And it is at a slight angle.
But since they have to take the covers off for transport, could be they didn't quite measure when reinstalling it.
The front wheel cover sit higher than previous covers
If you notice, you can see more of the tire and rim now; should make it a lot less prone to being "curbed" this way.
The front suspension has gone through some "beefing up" on the lower end; you can see that in this shot:

A few things that impressed me:
1: (Sounds like) the front wheelcovers will be ONE PIECE, instead of having the flat black rear sections "removable"...So, 2 bolts will remove the entire shroud. This should simplify production & lower cost.
2) (Looks like) the windshield wiper...
- No Yellow reflector needed. New led light projects amber color, but lense is clear. May have been DOT requirement, but you see newer cars without an amber lense- Lexus SC500, Infiniti Q60...
- Suspension did indeed look refined and more substantial around front wheels.
