I think this had to do with a lot more than just foot traffic at the show. Elio is still trying to find funding. The Wall Street types at the New York show are much more likely to bring in investors than the Detroit show where the city is in bankruptcy.
Hello, in case you haven't read, Detroit is no longer in bankruptcy. We have a new mayor, a new city government, and things are turning around here. Come and see for yourself. It won't happen overnight, but things are a-changin'.

No one's comparing the City of Detroit's vast appeal to the folks in the region. It's there is just no other large city to compare- whose infrastructure is so broken, the government so corrupt, that the state had to save it from going under. The best solution, knock the few remaining houses down,(which will be faster than waiting for them to be set afire), and create a beautiful park that would encourage the suburbs to visit for more than the length of a ball/hockey game
Wow, you are seriously misinformed Rucrayze. Again, you are focusing your narrow view of Detroit on just the city itself. Detroit consists of the "Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area" that encompasses 60% of the total population of the state. Combined, it is a very vibrant and wealthy area. One that should not be ignored in the greater scheme of things.

Hey. If you're looking for something fun to do (at least I think so), go to this site: http://gotquestions.org/ and find the 'random page' link. I normally get caught up for a couple of hours if I'm not careful. Sure beats searching cat videos on YouTube!

Yea I get it, white flight has reduced the City, and many others, while maintaining vibrant suburbs , but the "re-birth" gentrification is light years away- big deal you can buy a beautiful house for the price of an Elio, but your annual water bill will match.
O. K. I will end my involvement on this topic. Let us all stay well, Happy Easter to all (for whom it applies) and continue our support for this project

Wow, you sure know a lot about Detroit, having never lived here. I could say the same about that little city you live in, but what's the point?

Much too funny!! I'm an atheist - vegan, tattooed biker, born of a jewish mother, divorced from a Catholic, and I still can't figure why no one reaches out after reading my profile on Match dot Com!!!
