Only different info is that the Elio, currently, would cost $7,200, $400 short of Elio's goal.
"Paul Elio, the owner of the company, says that the engine was most likely the most complex part of the car. He also explained that it was the last remaining piece of the puzzle, and that Elio can now begin focusing on the manufacturing of the vehicle. When it’s all said and done, the Elio should retail for around $6,800 or less."

Hey, I agree Elio still has that as a goal. I was merely pointing out that Airherald has stopped saying $7,300 and has lowered that estimate by $100. That is what is new.

Quick question... When Elio said they were within 5% of expectations, was that about the engine on the test stand? If so, the engine on the test stand didn't have it's two phase cam shaft in yet so the numbers they would be talking about could be, say, 40hp is expected from the engine WITHOUT it's special cam and since it hit 39HP, it is within 5% of our expectations. I didn't see them say "Within 5% of the advertised rating" or anything like that.

Simply put, were they talking about the engine without the cam?

If the two step cam wasn't in, you'd also have to know which profile was running etc etc. If anyone has a news ref for that, yes please post it.

Unfortunately, if they have to adjust any one spec, it will affect all, so even if we knew what is there currently for other specs, it is not a final number until all numbers are final. In some cases things trade off, and in some numbers improve together.

There is usually a timeline goal or a spec goal not both. So this seems spec, so we won't hear until they reach it or give up trying.
