Sorry about the Falcons Ty, but you'll have a new coach next season. I think Carolina did all of a sudden get that good. Their last 4 games: 111-43 was the combined score. Derek Anderson had a good game for them on Dec. 14 as they beat Tampa 19-17. Granted those 4 opponents were NO, Atl, Tampa and Clev, but they did what was needed to win a division and they get to play at home. And the two road wins were at NO and at Atl, which is not easy to do.

Those are great offensive stats for Atl. Only putting up 3 pts is tough to swallow for sure, with Ryan, White, Jones, Hester. But no TDs and 2 INTs, ouch.
They asked Matt Ryan if he could pick a head coach. He said he couldn't pick one but he could pick 6. (See what I did there?)

How 'bout those Seahawks!

Let's talk Seahawks! Defending champion, and I believe in the last several years, the defending champ usually doesn't win a playoff game. However, these Seahawks are looking pretty good as the playoffs arrive.

I watched the NFC West with great interest this year, as my Chiefs and the AFC West played the NFC West. Somehow, the Chiefs beat Seattle 24-20, and Seattle has won 6 games since then, 3 on the road and 3 at home. AZ and SF twice, StL and Phi. That's impressive.

How many pts has the Sea defense allowed in their 6-0 run? I count 39 pts in six games. Six and a half pts per game allowed. Wow. Granted, against backup QBs in 4 of the 6 games, but still, impressive.

As you look at Sea's 16-game schedule, how many playoff teams/games did they play? Six. That's quite a few. Sea's record against those 6 playoff teams? 5-1. Again, impressive.

If you go back 3 games before the loss at KC, Sea is 9-1 in their last 10 games. Yep, you guessed it, impressive.

Sea will be rested and ready to play ball in a week and a half. Let's have a moment of silence for the team that has to go there. lol

Who might it be? The worst (lowest) seed in the NFC to survive this weekend. I see Det losing as the #6 seed at Dal, and I see AZ losing as the #5 seed to Car at #4. So either AZ or Car will get to travel to Sea, not this weekend but the next weekend.

Remember they started the season 3&3, then went 6&4, and I'm thinking, is ground Chuck coaching them again? Then they woke up and started playing Championship ball again. They sure are fun to watch, especially for how long we have suffered. Remember when Ken Overbehring wanted to take them to LA?

I agree. Though, the Falcons DID play 8 games against playoff teams so the 6 that the Seahawks played isn't odd. However, the Falcons only won 2 of those. So, the Seahawks winning 6 is significant.

OK, I'll go the other way

Panthers over the Seahawks (I actually hate that pick because I've been a Russell Wilson fan since he played for NC State)

Broncos over the Pats (I'm a long time Elway fan)

Broncos over the Panthers (not happy having to make that choice)
