I wonder if Elio would consider truckloads of pre-purchased Elios delivered to a central location for customers. I'm here in Florida and I know there are several of us in every state that have ordered this car. It would be cheaper for all of us if Elio would partner with different companies that can house cars for up to seven days (giving us a time to go and pick them up) and just deliver truckloads to the sites. This would allow more of us to take a 1-6 hour drive to pick up our car? Maybe even send them to Pep Boys stores. Each owner would agree to pick up their car within 48 hrs or something like that.

There will undoubtedly be delivery options. Whether they group deliveries by area, or ship them as they get built, who knows? I think maybe UPS or maybe drone would be cool! Personally, I'm planning on making the pilgrimage to Shreveport.

Like CompTrex, I am planning on going to Shreveport. I don't expect to see my Elio built but would love to take a tour of the plant and see Elios being built. I still have memories from 62 years ago of going through the Nash plant before going to pick up our new Nash. It obviously made a big impression on me even though I was a girl and girls weren't supposed to interested in such things at that time. Time of year for delivery, however, may change my plans since I am planning on driving back to Oregon by way of Toledo, OH and Lynnwood, WA. There can be a lot of very nasty road conditions in those parts of the country I want to drive through if we get our Elios late next year. I will simply have to cross that road, so to speak, when I come to it. :) Z

Me too! A little adventure and a lot of seat time...can't wait. Probably make a week of it. Head down to Alabama or Destin, rent a condo on the beach, soak up some sun, and swing by Shreveport on the way home. :) Just wish I knew which weeks to 'pencil in'!

Yeah, I read somewhere last night that they expect to call 'a few weeks' before our cars will be built to lock in our options. Doesn't leave much time to plan or to get cheap air fare. I may go down with my youngest son and make an adventure out of it. I'm afraid if I take my wife, and the 17 hour trip home is uncomfortable from the back seat, it'll be a loooooonnnng 17 hours, for the both of us. My son can just glue himself to his electronics and headphones and be quite content.
