When it Does take off, this vehicle will have the effect on both its owners and the entire economy in general. I've categorized it as a luxury touring bike that can be driven by anybody, in any weather. I must also say it will be seen as a "personal mobility vehicle" that will be capable of freeway speeds. It will have as much effect on the population as anti-depressant medications and the walking-stick put together. And I've seen much written about color variations. This thing appears to have about a third the surface area, both in square inches and complexity of angles and corners as a car. I can see affordable Seasonal color schemes. Heck, I can see individual National Holiday decoration schemes."Hey, come on down to So-and-So's body shop, and get Your Autumn/Thanksgiving Day paint job on your Elio today ! Only $25.95 while this offer lasts". Entire businesses being invented around this thing. This could be BIG.

Errrr, wow. Now you're being completely absurd. You have no evidence, no facts, you make grandiose, wild claims of somehow being connected to a super uber secret innner circle that gets onto conference calls with Mr. Paul Elio himself, yet OTHERS who question this bold BS need to present evidence?

Evidence of what? Proof that you DIDN'T meet with the Martian Ambassador?o_O

There is only person in this conversation who is being absurd (Martian Ambassador?) and not credible and that is you. The fact of the matter is that I jumped into this conversation to clear this issue up knowing that I could back up everything I said yet you continued responding and claiming this information could not be credible and was completely absurd even though you knew you had no way to back up anything you were saying. As a moderator on this forum I don't often drag things out this long or call members out directly however I have actually kept this conversation going longer than I should have as you have unwittingly proven to be a great example of the exact point of this conversation which is someone who continues speaking about a subject without having any facts to back them up.

I can prove what I have said because I have GoToMeeting screenshots of a town hall with Paul Elio himself. I believe this has already been posted elsewhere on the forum however as this happened just before you joined you likely did not read about it.

I guess in your last line you must be claiming to be God then since apparently everything you say is the truth and you are exempt from your own stated standard of providing evidence to back up your claims.

Can you back up anything you have said with any evidence at all?
Who were these conference calls with? A PR person? Maybe someone trying to become more skilled in getting deposits! Was it the Elio board of directors asking for advice. Did Reverend Elio become friendly after having a few brews?

Anguish bladder:

A gland inside the troll forehead.
Stores dismay fluid. :(
Probably e. her a tear gland or part of the troll endocrine system.
I think everyone agrees that addictive "type" personalities exist. I recall that Carl Jung said something about it not mattering if was alcohol, heroin or idealism that someone was addicted to, it was addiction, and it Can be cured. Ms Bruce just has to sit behind the wheel of a production Elio, and I think many, many more people will find her to be a smarter and happier person than many currently opine.

Debbie, Read the post immediately above yours as you have also unwittingly proven the point made in that post.

I believe the crash test rating is based on the "survival" or "limited damage", to the crash test dummy. Now, this dummy doesn't know if he/she is in a car or an autocycle (thus, the term "dummy") ;).The "Independent" testing facility is not, and cannot be affiliated with the company who's product is being tested (thus, the term "independent");).
I know, I made comments assuming that testing will be done. But, at this point in time, we don't know if EM will or won't have independent testing done. Only that it has been "engineered" to protect the occupants at a 5-star level. my 2 cents

Paul has always said his demographic is older American's that can't afford to update or fix their current cars. I never understood that. These people, while very deserving, aren't category leaders. They don't make market niches or product categories "work". They generally follow the market.
But, I think this design and the purposes for which I see it being used for, will MAKE that older generation a category leader. Heck, make that (my own) generation into an entire NEW category altogether.

Hi Zelio,

No, I'm not sure. I think the people on here, of all ages are...to put it delicately,,, well, we're oddballs. We're the 'weird kids' that are all grownup and are willing to stand out in a totally unique 3 wheeled (most would say backwards!) "Car"/"bike"/"autocar--what's that?"

Let's face it, 3 wheels are smart. The engineering is sound. The format of 2 in front and one in back with tandem seating is so very FLUID and sensible, but, it's bucking people's perceptions of "normal". Most people don't know 'boo!' about cars, they buy based on what the magazines tell them to buy like "zero to sixty" times, as if that matters a whole heck of a lot when you're stuck in traffic 90% of the time. I'd rather publishers pushed the 35-70 acceleration times, which is FAR FAR more important for merging safely in traffic in...you know...the real world. But no, we get brainwashed.

At any rate, I guess I've rambled. All I was trying to say is that older people without much money are hardly trendsetters, in my opinion only.

You get what you pay for. This opinion was 100% free of charge :p
Not "Rambling". You were Philosophizing.
