Well, you would rather wait for the ELIO isn't that what you said? LOL Personally, I had enough of tadpole lookin' 3 wheelers- if it smells like "DALE", looks like "DALE", chances are it'll end up like the "DALE".

A compact EV commuter doesn’t have to be fugly. I’m waiting on a Tesla compact EV for under $20K. It appears to be in the design stage. The yellow rendering looks very eye poppin, sleek, and stylish.

Now your talkin'! Under 20K minus the 7500K incentive and it's around 12.5K for a Tesla which is a whole lot cheaper than your Arcimoto Rickb! I think "I can afford" to wait for this one!

I thought the federal tax credits were per manufacturer and not per model? I think Tesla has sold too many vehicles to qualify for the full tax credit but there might be state credits that still apply. From what I remember, it was being tapered down by the time the Model 3 was introduced.

No Federal or State tax credits for the Tesla or the Arcimoto in my State. Some FUV owners have taken advantage of $2500-5000 incentives in Oregon, not sure about incentives in other States. I think Tesla hit their max during the M3 roll out. I admit that a compact $20K Tesla may be a better overall value than a $19,900 FUV or SOLO, but perhaps not as much fun to drive. May have to buy one of each!

The good news is if Tesla makes a formal announcement of a $20K Tesla Model C in the Pipeline you know it’s going to happen, possibly ahead of schedule as did the MY. My guess it would likely roll out in China, before the States.

I believe it's specifically being designed for the Chinese market. Hopefully, it will also make its way here...but the small vehicle market has really been drying up in the States.

I agree. However, a sleek and stylish EV 4 seater with good performance numbers, range, and safety ratings could rekindle interest. Tesla could have a real winner in that market class. The Model Y is quite the vehicle and will likely become their top seller. Perhaps a Model Y Mini.
