Having seen it in person they are real. But you can tell they are a one off hand made prototype light.

Do any of you know if the P4 headlights are real, or are they stick on's like stock cars! I can see having skilled people built roll cages, lay up composite panels and such. But it seems to me the headlighs would be very difficult to one off. Just wondering. Ill know in mid August.

I looked very closely at the headlights on the P4. I have a project car that I wanted to use the same units for. The P4 outside glazing is certainly custom by Elio motors, until they get their tooling set up, but the inner unit is a off-the-shelf assembly I wanted to use on my Atlantric project at one time.
It's not super expensive, and include high/low beam, but certainly a little more cost than the Chinese Scooter units I will use, given I buy in quantities of 2. And they CAN source that directly overseas (all of those come from overseas) much cheaper than I can price them state-side.
