Ha! You haven't been in a current turbo, have you? I had an 86 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z long ago, and would agree with you.....then {still one of the favorite cars I've ever owned}.. The new turbos have nearly no lag. Human senses can barely notice any lag. Come to E. TN, and it would be my honor to let you try a modern turbo. I also own a 2001 Supercharged Nissan Frontier. Belt driven, with no lag. Honestly, I can't feel much difference between the two. Believe me. New Turbo tech is AMAZING! Don't knock it till you try it brother. The turbo would be spooled up the entire time.

Awesome, thanks for the offer. I hit Deals Gap last back in 1998 on my Honda Hawk GT, then moved too far away. BUT, looks like we might be moving back to NC next year. I should have some new suspension parts for the Miata by then, so good times.

They are discontinuing the Veloster? That is a real shame. For the money it was hard to beat for being loaded with tech goodies, versatile, and a pretty fun ride (mine was the Tech model with 6MT).




I could not agree more. That is why I really thought they would go with the True Blue instead. Vibrant, playful, stands out much more than black...

Unbelievable! my best friend has a Hawk GT! He does want to sell it because we just don't ride anymore. My VT also has the tech package, But I drove two hours one way (Johonson City, TN) to get this one. Not only a 6MT, but has the B&M Racing shifter option. the throws are short and close, plus it shifts like a knife through honey.

Bam, I also have something with a turbo that is a screamer...2007 Mini Cooper S Turbo. absolute screamer but that car drinks oil like a drunken sailor on a shore leave. Its a nearly a quart everytime I'm getting gas and its full synthetic too.

I have been a drunken sailor and never drank any oil so, I would appreciate laying off sailors.

Hey Guys, I was just watching some of the latest videos about Elio and noticed they seem to have lost the Elgin dash. Did I miss something? I'm not complaining, I did not like them.

The E1C is not what we will be getting. It is still early "E"xperimental. The LED headlights, The Dash, The steering wheel, all getting kudos here. We will have to wait and see what will be.

You should go to the LA Auto Show post under the Events in the Forum. It's just an engineering model. As booboo said, things will still change.

Paul, We get that you love the Elgin dash, but please give it up.
It seems that the majority of buyers prefer the conventional dash and let's face it, you want to sell as many Elios as you can.

In the Elgin Poll Reality Check on this forum of future buyers, 37 people said keep it, 25 said they'd pay some money to get rid of it. Basically, the majority do NOT hate it. They may not love it, but they don't hate it.

EDIT: To be fair, there's another poll about the Elgin Dash... 59 hate it and 58 either like it or don't care enough to hate it. So, that IS actually a majority.
