We started well but hit a rough patch yesterday. I think we'll do better today. Our automatic optical targeting is making a big difference.

Maybe I was naive in thinking it couldn't happen, but I saw irrefutable evidence of a team cheating yesterday. They were using their aimable targeting flashlight as a defensive weapon to blind our camera (an R9 violation, for those with the rule book handy). FIRST doesn't look at video in reviewing matches and didn't see what went down, but they will be looking for it now.

We will almost certainly qualify for St. Louis unless the robot is missing when we arrive this morning (it is Hartford, after all).

This stinks!
Well, that there is cheating, not that you'll be in STL.
So three matches for us our radio went dead and had to reboot. That stops all motion and connectivity for 30 seconds, a lifetime on the field.
It has not been proven, but since it's been proven to have happened in the past, we're concerned about cheating.
Someone in the stands with a smart phone was attacking the radio and so the radio went into a denial of service mode and rebooted itself. Again, it was proven to have happened in the past, and there is no proof that it happened to us last weekend, but it happened three times, only to us, and there was no other explanation, no loose wires, no bare wires, nothing that would cause this issue. I really hope people won't stoop that low.
Good luck today!
See you in a few weeks!
