Someone pointed out that Elio Motors likes airplane events for their tour stops.

In the Momentum email about the completed dash (V49), Paul Elio says: "Many of tour stop fans tell us they feel like they’re at the controls of a single-engine airplane."

Maybe there is a connection.

Two new events showed up this morning some time:

Apr 19, 2016 - Apr 19, 2016 P4 Des Moines, IA Capitol Building 8 AM - 4 PM
Apr 20, 2016 - Apr 20, 2016 P4 Jefferson City, MO Capitol Building 9 AM - 12 PM

A Tuesday and a Wednesday. Missouri still shows up as helmet required on the Elio map so that one looks like a lobbying effort. But Iowa is green so not sure why they're stopping in Des Moines.

Johnny, my guess is no. Elio Motors has left each previous prototype as is.

Hopefully the P5 is going back to the shop to be finished. When I saw it in Shreveport last month there was no emission hardware, no HVAC, a dummy wiper installation, and it still had the underbody exhaust system with the tailpipe left of the rear wheel. Some people ask way they don't use the P5 for testing. The reason is it's not ready. Until it's finished any data would be meaningless.

True that. I wasn't thinking of that frame and engine with wheels, the P1.

Amended: Each prototype with body panels has been left as is. The Sour Apple Screamer, the Creamsicle Cruiser, and the Red Hot Rocket.

Point is, they won't bring the P4 up to P5 specs.
