Arrived at Shreveport Hilton at 11:00am.
Thought the showing was to be in east parking lot across from Hilton's entrance (where Elio trailer was parked).
On inquiry found showing was to be right near the Hilton's main front door.
Little tight quarters to accomodate a big crowd BUT only a few folks (15-20) were milling around at 11am.
On lining up I was in exact spot where the line was to begin.
Was first in Shreveport line and first to sit in the Elio. WOW.
Plenty of interior space. Not real crazy about the instrument panel though.
Did get a sensation I was in the cockpit of a WWII fighter plane.
Line did move at a fairly steady pace. Was worth the experience (after a 17 month wait).
At #11,004 (I'm All In) perhaps another 10-12 month wait until delivery ?
Drove 220 miles but also found people coming from Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sugarland, Texas and (now get this) Fairhope, Alabama.
Could not believe my eyes when I saw a big fellow at 6'7" ease into that Elio and still had head space.
On departing at 12:30PM the line was reaching around corner of the block. Great crowd.
When Elio staff first parked the Elio's motor/exhaust sound was much softer than expected.
Elio staff was also very courteous and answered questions with complete knowledge and professionalism.
A great experience ! Would do it again !

Speaking of the motor/exhaust, if anyone makes the next event and can catch the P5 running on video/audio...
(hey, a guy can dream)...

Glad you made it there and back safely, and glad to hear you had to wait in a looong line to see it (well...not that you had to stand there for an hour and a half, just that there was a good turnout. ;)). As I mentioned in another thread I FINALLY saw the Elio commercial on TV. I'm curious what affect the commercial has had to hits on their website.
Saw ad on Fox news this morning.

Did everyone do some kind of name tag or identifier?
I know when I went to the Portland display, I had my Elio Owners shirt on, and EM hat, but no name tag.
I'll have to remember to do one up for a next meet and greet.
Great idea :thumb:

Gonna get me some green iron on letters and throw my screen name on the back of my Elio shirt. It'd make it easy to pick me out at the shows, and wearing it around town, all my friends would agree. :D

Might look into someone around here that does custom T-shirts and have them do it. Don't want to screw my only Elio Owner's shirt up. Hey...there's a thought. I'm not sure how much of a hassle it would be for Okuma Steve, but I'd pay an extra $10 - $15 to have it on there when I got it...That'd be cool!!
