I found this article from 2006 about powder coat painting. It even mentions the shreveport plant.

Good article Johnny, but I didn't see any mention of it being used on plastics or composites, only metal. From the article: "Coating producers will have to provide everything from the metal cleaning and pretreatment to the final topcoat.".
I had no idea powder coatings had been used in the auto industry by so many, for so long.

Remember this, most cars have plastic bumpers. and the article was old, so I bet coating plastic or composite would not be a problem today. + Shreveport is already set up for powder.

Exactly! They didn't call it powder coating, they called it "dry process". That's why I would like a forum member to ask about it at a showing. Any volunteers?
