Not just build them: "We’re excited to build these vehicles and, oddly enough, just as excited to tear them apart."
So they have some built, and taking them apart is even a better sign; means they're looking at build consistency; the parts from one car will fit another; a very important step in repeat building. If they only fit the car they were built for; you'd have a problem in mass production.

"We’re excited to build these vehicles and, oddly enough, just as excited to tear them apart."
And you interpret that as a "sign"? Look closely it says nothing related to time-
We're excited to find 1Million$ and oddly enough, just as excited to spend it. When? I have the $ now and I'm excited ?
or I know I'll be excited when i get the $
I didn't pay close enough attention during english classes to figure this out. No, don't get up, I'll show myself out.
Yea the old double negative

Whoa, hold on there big fella.
Where'd you get "So they have some built..." from any of that?
I am happier now that they're using the word "building" and not "development".
But it was "Those funds are currently being put to use in building the E-Series."
And not, "Those funds were used to build some of the E-Series vehicles."

Well, I know EM has a TV commercial series, and we did jump to 350 for last week., given only 447 to go, I think them and I are both expecting to hit 50k next week or the week after.
But really, they have to kick out these news letters every week, and have something useful to say. I would say this is about building excitement to get the most out of the 50k milestone as possible. One or two weeks, it's all good.

Naw, he got it.
EM blogged, "Elio Motors is about to cross the 50,000 reservation mark."
I can't speak for him, but I think what AriLea meant by, "... and we did jump to 350 for last week..."
Was that we gained 350 (actually 351) additional believers.

I'm pretty sure that, "One or two weeks, it's all good."
Meant that he believes that in one or two weeks we'll cross the 50,000 mark.

So Coss...

By saying, "So they have some built, and taking them apart is even a better sign; means they're looking at build consistency..."

Were you saying: Once they have some built, taking them apart is an even better sign that means they're looking at build consistency?

I agree on having continued weekly news letters with something useful to say. I look forward to the Momentum Newsletters, but personally don't get as excited about reservation numbers as EM does. I would get excited about news regarding the P5 testing, specifics with photos regarding the first completed E Build, information more relevant to production, than marketing numbers and advertising hype. I thought 35,000 reservations justified production to start back in 2014-15 and it didn't happen.

A more positive sign would be EM changing their pre-registration agreement from "we are under no obligtion to deliver a vehicle" to a more confident "we guarantee delivery in 2016-18". That would take much of the risk and speculation out of whether or not EM is serious about production and show confidence in the "we are on track to production statements". Reservations may skyrocket! It would create a sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the show scenario. Wishful thinking on my part and yes, I need a hobby. It was supposed to be tinkering with and road trippin in my Elio.

I think the spike in Sept.'14 was a reaction to get in under the wire, as E M announced the discontinuation of the incentives at the end of Sept. The Black Fri event we all speculated of a special progress announcement, turned out to be the reintroduction of the incentives, which are still in place
Yes, but also note the average rate of reservations before that announcement to discontinue the incentive, it still averaged around 100/day for half a year. My opinion is that there were more people that believed getting the vehicle into production was highly probable before the following two delays occurred.
