Smart car and last generation of Toyota MR2 spyders had a AMT optional

That I know. My question is and was: are there cars that have AMT and do not have the capability of manual shifting? There are many cars with AMT on the market and the ones I know of or have driven, all had the possibility of shifting gears. Usually it is a little pointless though, since the AMT can do an excellent job.

They are nice cars I have driven the normal 5spd version. I taught an ex gf how to drive manual transmission in one she bought. I am not much for convertibles though.
We usually get about 30 days a year when it's "perfect" top down, the rest too hot/humid, or raining. There are folks who "fake it", drive around in the sun with the windows rolled up ( a.c. on) -lol
In truth it's my weekend car 2003, with 11k miles!! (and not every weekend!)
It , for me the closest experience to bike riding. low COG, feel the road, and , for this retired guy, a Porsche in design (mid engine)
THEN I see the Elio, and been waiting since.I'll sell the spyder, when i get the email asking what extras I want on my autocycle -
if not keep the mr2.

You keep telling everyone you live in THE SUNSHINE state and that may be true but I tell everyone I live in SUNNY WARM New Mexico where we have far more days that are perfect for "top down" driving and no humidity. Guess we will have to let others decide who has the better weather:p:D:rolleyes:
