I thought I was having fun with a troll however it looks like you are simply obtuse as you continuously bring up these fictional gauges which only exist in your head. The simple fact is that the Elgin dash we have seen is entirely digital and only meant to give the impression of spinning dials. They have apparently done an excellent job designing them, or maybe you are easy to fool?, as they have you convinced they are real gauges.

Just to clarify things for you further, all digital means that there are absolutely no physical gauges on the Elgin dash. To further clarify what this means is that there is no need to custom manufacture anything as everything that makes up the Elgin dash is available 'off the shelf', has been road tested, and is inexpensive.
That is NOT what the photo provided by Elio Motors SHOWS!

Where is your information of 'all digital' coming from..... or does it "only exist in your head"? Where is the 'proof' of a new and 'improved' Elgin Dash design? Hummm, "digital gauges" are not "physical"..... perhaps you mean 'not analog'.
And the "the impression of spinning dials"..... in a small window of a large silver ring..... is still an ineffective way to display information, and a 'waste of space'.

Thought you couldn't ANSWER that..... 'easy way out'![/QUOTE
Oooo, your rapier wit has sliced me asunder!! I surrender to your superior intellect, you win, your dash should be installed! The engineers at Elio are idiots! The Dash Question has been solved! Let's put this to bed now, eh? We can all rest easier and maybe move on to how to stop the spread of Ebola.

Where is your evidence it is an analog dial? That photo shows a digital display but once again you are either proving it is a very well done display, or you are easily fooled, or both. The fact is that anytime anyone has asked EM about this the answer has always been that it is digital display showing a virtual gauge. I have been given this answer directly from EM and it has been reported by various other members repeatedly both on this forum and on EMOA on Facebook which I know you frequent as well.

You get upset when I question your intelligence however you repeatedly make statements in which you make it obvious you must be lacking in that area. Not only can you not interpret a photo properly but you obviously need some remedial language studies. Let me explain it simply so you can understand it. The opposite of virtual is physical. So, in this context, a virtual gauge is the same as a digital gauge and an analog gauge is the same as a physical gauge.

Well, that sorta got put up with Rogwild's quote, this will be easier to see...

Arguing with some people is like wrestling with a pig in the mud. After a while you come to realize the pig is enjoying it.
I recognized the pattern immediately. My son would do that to me. Whether he was right or wrong he would win the debate, because he relentlessly pounded whatever his points were. After a while, I just didn't bother, he wan't changing my mind and I wouldn't change his. In this case I wanted to give it the old college try, but knew from his response it wasn't going anywhere fast. The best thing to do is capitulate (ok, I added some saurcasim) and shut things down. He's not going to convince me nor I him. So nothing more needs be said. The aftermarket is a great fixer of things "wrong" with a car.

My sons, in their younger day, argued as if I knew nothing.

Apparently, now I've got older, I've learned a bit more, so they sometimes lower their standards and agree with me.

But when they need a car fixing, or a money loan, or both, as just happened this week, they agree with anything I say!
Fortunately, my son got over his youthful enthusiasm and listens and sometimes even takes advice given. I try to avoid giving unsolicited advice on the whole. He's also got the independent streak his sister has, that's good most of the time. Sometimes the backwash of what he decides effects his Mom and me, but on the whole, he's growing and learning! Yay, just like he's supposed to! He and his wife are now moving from the Denver area to San Francisco, sounds like a road trip in the Elio for sure!

Mainly elsewhere
My sons (3 off) take after me, in their own way, in some respects, both good and bad. I have given advice which was for their safety, or their general well being, otherwise they must make their own way in their lives. But at one time, with three teenagers in the house, we needed a permanent place in the local accident and emergency ward. Especially when all three played junior rugby.

Now they're older, youngest son is now in his late twenties, I do sometimes tell them about stuff we used to get up to in our youth. I find it amusing to watch them gasp in horror at some of these tales (so does their mother). :D

Yet for all their toughness, last night the elder two (29 and 31 years old) came visiting. They recoiled in horror as they watched me catch a great big house spider in my hands and throw it out of the window; they all ran away like big sissies!
