So the tire supplier will be Cont. instead of Cooper?
I would prefer all three the same size. (Better handeling)

Willie
Not on all vehicles (for your comment on better handling).
The vehicle dynamics can call for different size tires.
On the Elio, 3 tires the same size actually could cause handling problems.

Both the wheel and tire manufacturers would disagree with you on that. There is a range of compatibility. For instance, a rim width of 5"-6" is recommended for a 175/65-15. The 135/80-15's only recommended rim width is 4". Going too narrow or too wide on rim width can lead to serious problems.
That's too bad, this means the Elio will have two rims of different widths. I would like to have this question asked at the LA show.

Sears may not be the best choice everywhere; about 3 or 4 years ago Sears closed three quarters of their stores in the PNW (WA, OR, ID).
There are very few left, and the ones they left open don't all have the Auto Service areas.
Someone else mentioned Firestone Service Centers and I think I have to agree with that.
My next choice would be Midas.

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone read the news about Pep Boys being up for sale ? I have read items on Yahoo and MSN about this. I don't know if this would effect us or not.
I also heard but not concerned. I'm sure Elio can easilly find another to take their place assuming new management wasn't interested

The lack of a spare tire does bother me but I see the reason as to keep the "Price Point" down. I live out west in fly over area and that is where I like to be so I am often a long long way from outside service. Any one thinking about a "Continental" kit for the Elio? You know, like the old Lincoln Continentals.

THE NARROW REAR MEANS A CONTINENTAL SPARE WOULD BE AN AERODYNAMICS KILLER

I use so much butter on my bread that it always falls butter side down because of the added weight. I wouldn't pick it up off some floors and eat it regardless. I like the idea of the Bridgestone buyout and it's potential advantages.
The probability of the bread falling with the buttered side down, is directly proportional to the cost of the carpeting.
