As far as the 8/3 and 8/4 showing of the car... The Hilton was completely blindsided. No one with Elio arranged this event with the hotel. We apologize to all those that called and or came in and were told there was no event here. We are happy to be a part of the excitement, but feel we certainly should have been included in the planning of the event, rather than having our parking lot used without our permission. We have agreed to allow the event to continue for both days. We hope the next time Elio wants to have an event at our property that they will include us so we can be prepared and assist in making sure the event is over the top Hilton style.

WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST...have some reliable means for future Elio Owners and other interested parties
to attain verifiable information concerning an event.
Date, city, state, place, time, exact display locale.
One arrives at a hotel's front desk, inquires about Elio, then clerk or managers are clueless.
Something is terribly, terribly wrong.
"Sleeping on Guard Duty was once a Serious Offense."
If the Elio Event Team has a delay (or break-down enroute) there should be an immediate contingency plan well rehearsed.

Hello Coss,
Great to hear from you. This is a classic miscommunication between companies. The tour team would never just show up at someone else's property and do a show with our vehicle, that is nonsensical at least. The tour team spoke with the hotel, twice, once to set the original date and again to verify that moving the date was OK as well. The message probably did not get through the entire organization, which led to the confusion. The tour team will speak with the hotel again tonight and make sure that they are OK. They have been great to us around the country and we definitely do not want them to think this was taken for granted. We will make sure this is handled tonight.

One of the items that does cause heartburn for our friends at the hotels is the huge number of phone calls they receive, which I am sure this current situation included. They are not staffed to handle the volume of people that call when we are doing an event there. We need to share the property name and address so people can show up, but we need to find a way for the hotel to not get overwhelmed with phone calls.

What about Elio Team overnight Hilton reservation confirmations ?
Bad P.R. and a costly situation for both sides (in more ways than one).
Would seem to be a SOP - Standard Operational Procedure for ALL Elio Events by the Elio Team.

the fact is, the folks running the tour have a solid track record for scheduling and holding events .... over time, they have done so and to my knowledge, there haven't been any other reports of this type .... on this one, I tend to believe that some of the folks inside the management of the Hilton didn't get around to making all of their employees aware .... haters will naturally jump in filled with righteous indignation and do all they can to create a problem where none exist

Did you not see what I had posted about this? The Elio team had talked to them prior to arrival and set everything up. As for the front desk not having the information; that comes from a Hilton internal failure to communicate this information.
Your slam against the Elio Team was not necessary and completely unwarranted.
