This is the latest V-6 SHO engine. It was designed by Yamaha for FORD !
I can't help but noticing the similarity to the one designed for the Elio.
Just cut this one down the middle.

Long before the Scout the Pontiac Tempest had a 195 inch 4 that was half of a 389 V8. 1963 or 4 if I recall.

Close but no ceegar. It was half of an IH 304.

We had one of those Tempest when I was a kid, it was basically my starter car, when I started driving in 1975. An automatic with the shifter on the dash and the slant 4 engine.

On this motor, Pontiac just blocked off the other side,so the whole V8 block was present. Weird thing to do.

The idea of configurations and descriptions of 1963 and 1974 engines mounted in old AMC and GM cars is stretching my drive train of thought. The clincher for me was as follows; LOL
