See Any Resemblance?

I was flipping through the pics on a local classic car auction the other day and had to take a double take on an old vw bug. It was missing the front fenders, as with other parts, but some of the lines looked familiar. Is the bug where Paul got some of his inspiration? Anyone else see a resemblance or am I just starting to see Elio's everywhere.

Okay, there if I close one eye I see a slight resemblance, it's closer than the junk yard dog , Husker1 showed us! No offense Husker1 but that really was stretching it! LOL
