The dash is holy writ -- it cannot be expunged, but I have some hope it may be edited to make it more useful and less ugly, while leaving the concept alone. Angled coil-overs are out for aerodynamic reasons. Almost certainly a cost factor for the fancy A-arms as well. The gas fill can't be moved because it would mean rerouting major components and a lot of redesign. Actually, with the covered over exhaust run, I don't see why it's a safety problem. Unless the safety folks at IIHS deem it a problem, it's going to stay. And you can deal with your own wheel covers as Grumpy Cat pointed out. They too are there for 84 mpg.

Two of your big complaints affect gas mileage. Would you want the car to fall further short of the 84 mpg than the respectable 81 it's now figured at?

Finally, why are these issues for Paul's conscience?

Hey Charlie, Welcome to the forum! There are 2 threads that have beat the subjects (Dash & gas fill) to death. The other two are Moot points...actually all 4 subjects. But, stick around, we have fun.
