New to the elios thing, put a deposit, $100 last year and got the shirt and all the other pr stuff. the elios looks and appears good on paper, hopefully it will come to reality and not be a scam as the skeptics say. anyone who has any info or comments about that, feel free to let me know. thinking of going up to the $1000 level, any thoughts on that???

Tim, welcome to the forum where you will find all the information you need to make the decision to up your reservation to $1000. I started out in Oct 2013 at $100 and made two upgrades to the $1K level. After participating in the forum since March I am firmly convinced that I will be driving my Elio before Christmas next year. Using the forum search function will help you quickly find the answers to most of your questions. If not, just ask because the members are helpful and friendly. Thanks for welcome, i too am hopeful they will be out by next year, even my brother has gotten in on the deal too. Thinking of upgrading soon, don't mind spending the money, just don't want to loose it. have been reading some interesting articles and there is actually a lot of negative publicity regarding do they or will they even get the louisiana plant. Hopefully they will prove everyone wrong and put out a good product.

Glad you are excited about this neat little vehicle and were willing to jump in and put you hard earned money down to make this happen!

There are a lot people discussing a lot of information out there which is inaccurate and/or out of date. The plant issue and the articles about it have been heavily discussed on here also but what I can tell you is that while there were definitely serious issues encountered while trying to acquire and/or lease the plant the truth is that the plant issues have been resolved. Elio's partner and major investor Stuart Lichter/IRG Properties does currently hold a long term lease on the plant so it has been secured for Elio's use.
