Only about 300 were built of the Inter autoscooter three wheeler (France, 1953). Nice rag top Like the Messerschmidt it was built by an airplane manufacturer.
I am really diggin' this single headlight styling, with the fendertop lights. It fits perfectly with the whole Elio design concept and ideology. I wonder if it was ever considered during the design phase?
1-Costs less than 2 headlights, uses off the shelf parts
2-Elio is single seat wide, narrow, and does not require 2 headlights
3-Fender tops get lit up to warn motorists of Elio width (no fender lights are a current safety flaw IMHO)
4-Look at the horn right out there in front! A design statement
5-Nods to the motorcycle roots of the Elio
How about it Ari...any interest in modeling a 1-eyed Elio?
I think a one-eyed Elio could have personality = that adds to its sales potential, as if it needs anything more. Reminiscent of the Studebakers and Tucker. My crude attempt:
