Where to begin..........been interested in enclosed high MPG vehicles for a long time. Bucky Fuller's Dymaxion, the tadpole Freeway with 16 hp gas engine, and recently Organic Transit's tadpole trike with 700 watt electric assist. The Elio encapsulates all the good ideas in a modern package, and I believe it has a good chance of becoming reality as a practical economic solution for personal transportation. Paul Elio has ensured his success by surrounding himself with people who have experience in the areas needed to take a great idea to production. Prudence says the safest bet is $100 all-in if a person is willing to wait a bit longer to call himself a proud owner, and that is where I am. I was going to pull my '04 Honda Civic 4-down behind my old diesel motorhome, but I'm willing to trailer an Elio instead. Once this catches on and Elios are produced, we will be spending some coin on aftermarket body wraps, trailers and other bling.

Hi and welcome from Oregon, Wheelman. I am also all in at the $100 level but am saving toward the first upgrade for when I see it in Portland in July. I can not wait to see that Elio! Being allowed to the follow the progression of growth of a new vehicle is so exhilarating. I am amazed that we have that privilege. I feel sorry for the naysayers and detractors because they have no idea of how much fun they are missing. I hope you enjoy this wonderful adventure as we travel towards Elio ownership. Next year in our Elios! :-) Z
